As I mentioned we have several missions in the order such as,
One of the most effective missions of our Order starting from 1877 was giving education to children. Large number of our friars have served as teachers and principals all over Sri Lanka in the past. Continuing this tradition at present too more than 20 friars serve as teachers in both government and semi government sectors.
We run two semi government schools by our own administration. Loyola College, Bopitiya and Christ the King College, Weliveriya.
And annually at least two simple professed friars are sent to the National College of Education
Preaching the Word of God is also another fruitful mission carried out by our friars. Our Friars conduct Novena Preaching, retreats and recollections for priests, religious, lay groups, youth and children and missions in parishes with the invitation of parish priests.
We are always willing to work in parishes at the requests of the Bishops of the dioceses. At present we administer two parishes: St. Ignatius Parish Ampara in the diocese of Batticaloa and St. Mary’s parish Maggona in the Archdiocese of Colombo. There are few priests serve as assistant parish priests in rural areas.
Today we need shepherds who are looking after wounded sheep. So psychological counseling plays an important role among our apostolates. We have qualified psychologists, clinical psychologists and psychological counselors to help in the fields of Family Counseling, Youth Counseling, Child counseling etc. Our Friars in Katuwapitiya and Ja Ela are assigned for this purpose.

Nearly 15 of our friars work in foreign missions as pastors and parish priests in USA, Italy, Romania, Phillipines and Bangladesh.
